It's an axiom that holds true whether your passion is music, or anything else. Including job hunting, I think. The idea of putting oneself out there is in fact, quite frightening to those of us raised with the idea that "good girls" don't push, "good girls" don't call attention to themselves, etc etc. In fact, "good girls" need to not be afraid to call attention, to push, to let their light shine out!
